Animal Farm is a compelling novel about a world where (or maybe a better word would be when) animals rebel against the regime keeping them captive and unhappy only to create a world even worse for them. It was written in the mid twentieth century, in the middle of the Second World War by George Orwell.
It is almost scary to read about the seemless descent into totalitarian regime in this book. And the changes sometimes truly shock you.
I cannot say I enjoyed reading this book, but it without a doubt is a book everyone simply must read as it deals with the very human nature and the way it can show itself.
The writing kept the story gripping and I like it the most. As well as the great characterization of the few “main” characters.
This is the fourth book for my Booktube-a-thon challenge.
